FAQS

What is "Restored by Grace" and the inspiration behind it?

"Restored by Faith" is my personal Christian faith-based blog. It is driven by my love for writing and my desire to share the ups and downs of my own Christian journey. I believe that our experiences can glorify God and inspire and help others. Writing is my gift, and I want to use it to be a blessing to those who read my blog and bring glory to God.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

Well, I was raised in a Christian family but we didn't really attend church service or read the Bible. So I've always known bits and pieces about Jesus, but it never soaked in fully. When I was in my late 20s I experienced a gut-wrenching tragedy and was in the darkest place of my life. I was all alone and suffering, until I heard the whisper of the Holy Spirit telling me to pray three times. The first two times I said no, I was angry at God. But the third time the Holy Spirit told me to pray I did, that night I poured my heart out to God and was saved. It is  2023 now, so it was about 3 and 1/2 years ago.

What's the purpose of your blog?

The purpose of my blog is to share my experiences, good or bad, throughout my Christian walk with others and to bring hope to those who are lost.

What can I expect to find on your blog?

You can expect personal stories and experiences. Lessons learned, scripture and verses being shared. Hard times and good ones. I am going to share my life with everyone in hopes that they too can see the hope we all have in Jesus. And most importantly how imperfect we are as Christians.

How often do you post new content?

As of right now, I do not have a set schedule. I have learned that schedules just don't work for me as they do others. They stress me out, things get rushed, and I am not able to put my whole heart into what I am writing. When I rush I panic, and my writing comes out half heartedly which I do not want to do. So as of now, I am going to write and post as I feel lead to. Thank you so much for understanding.

Can I share your blog posts on social media or with my friends?

Yes, absolutely. The goal is to share with everyone wanting to or willing to listen so that God will be glorified.

How can I get in touch with you or submit questions for you to address?

You can click on the Let's Chat Button at the bottom right side of the page for LIVE Customer Chat. Please understand that I will not be online 24/7 so I will respond to the chats as soon as I can. I appreciate your patience. You can also go to our Contact page where you will see my email address. Please send me and email with whatever questions or concerns you have and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Do you have a statement of faith or beliefs that guide your content?

As a Christian, my faith is anchored in the triune God—Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. I trust in Jesus as my Savior, acknowledging His redemptive work for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. The Bible is my source of wisdom and guidance, shaping the content on my blog. I strive to reflect the love, grace, and teachings of Christ in my writing, offering hope, encouragement, and insights that align with my Christian beliefs. My goal is to inspire, uplift, and help others on their own faith journey.

How can faith play a role in personal restoration and healing?

Faith in Jesus' redemptive work brings personal restoration and healing by offering forgiveness, inner peace, and a renewed sense of purpose, helping individuals find wholeness and strength to overcome life's challenges. Also helping people realize how broken they are and  helping them to see their need for the only one who can restore and redeem them from their brokenness. Jesus. Who already paid the wager for our sins, and reconciled us back to God through His death on the cross.

What are some common challenges people face on their faith journey, and how can they be addressed?

Well, all of us are different. Our purpose and experiences are different. But some of the common ones I have experienced are. overcoming sins in their lives, trusting God with and through everything, feelings of unworthiness, trusting in Gods saving work of Salvation, periods of self-condemnation, knowing their identity in Christ Jesus, misunderstanding the Bible, attacks of the enemy, judgement and criticism of non-Christians, outcasted from friends and family, insecurity with ones abilities, etc. One of the biggest, and most important ways they can be addressed is by confessing them all to God in prayer and asking Him to help. God loves to help! Also seek a mentor from your church who is matured in their faith to help you along your journey. Whatever you do, do not try to go at this alone, we were created to be interdependent, which means dependent on one another for love, encouragement, prayer etc.

How can I stay updated on your latest blog posts or news?

You can stay updated by checking my blog weekly and also watching out for emails about new posts/new discussions.

Do you have any recommendations for starting a personal faith-based blog?

I believe anyone can do it. WIX is a wonderful platform to use if you have never created a blog before. It's pretty simple and they help with the whole set up process. WIX also has a free option as well so I would definitely recommend using their services. Another recommendation is to brainstorm beforehand, it'll help keep you organized and prepared for when you start creating your blog.

Can I share my personal faith journey or testimonies on your blog?

You are able to share your stories and testimonies in the comment section of each post, but not directly on my blog.

How can I support your ministry and blog?

By sharing my blog on social media pages, and also staying up to date on posts. It would be a huge support if you could like and comment on the post that you like as well. Thank you.

Can you provide guidance on dealing with doubt or spiritual struggles?

I can share my experience with these things and the lessons I've learned from them. I can also share my experiences with God and the things He taught me during these times as well. All I have are my own experiences, but please feel free to become a member and join the Member Chat to reach out to other members for topics I have no experience with.

What role does prayer play in your life and your blog?

Prayer is just talking to God as you would a friend. My prayer life to God consists of me just talking with Him throughout the day either out loud or in my head. Sometimes I write Jesus letters. My prayer for this blog is that God will use me to reach someone, anyone with this blog, so that is the prayer for this blog in my heart. I will also try to pray before I write a post, I am imperfect so I feel uncomfortable saying I always will pray beforehand, but I will do my best to pray when I can.

How do you handle controversial or sensitive topics within a Christian context?

The same way I would with a controversial or sensitive topic that isn't necessarily biblical, with love, grace and truth. And if I can't answer a question I will just say I don't know that answer so please give me some time to study and I will get back you.

Are you open to guest posts or collaborations?

As of right now, this blog is still in it's infancy, so I am not open to guest posts, but please feel free to comment on my post. Guest posts, and collaborations may come in the future but that's not a for sure thing. I will make sure to keep everyone updated.

What is your vision for the future of "Restored by Faith"?

Honestly, I am just praying that God will use this blog for His glory. Even if that means it doesn't go anywhere but here. I pray for His Will and His vision for this blog to be done.
